Meet The Woman In The Ropes

“I believe the body speaks long before we find the words.”

I’m Ruby, the woman behind Goddess in Ropes — an embodiment practice born from my own relationship with rope, ritual, spirituality, and the body.

My journey with Shibari has never been about mastering the most complicated tie or performing rope perfectly. It has been about what becomes possible when we slow down enough to actually feel.

Rope has taught me about presence. About boundaries. About communication. About surrender without abandoning myself. About noticing where I hold tension, where I resist, and where I can soften.

Those lessons began to change the way I moved through my life beyond the rope.

With a background in yoga, Reiki, somatic practices, and spiritual ritual, I bring these worlds together to create experiences that are intentional, embodied, and deeply personal.

Goddess in Ropes was created for the person who feels curious about Shibari but knows there is something deeper calling them toward it.

You don't have to identify as a rope practitioner.
You don't have to know the “right” way to surrender.
You don't have to arrive already knowing what you need.

You can simply arrive curious.

My role isn't to tell you who to become. It's to create a space where you can listen closely enough to discover more of yourself.

THIS IS ROPE AS A PRACTICE.

A practice of presence.
A practice of trust.
A practice of choice.
A practice of coming home to the body.

Welcome to Goddess in Ropes.
